(New Orleans, LA - April 26, 2006) - TurboSquid, home of the world's largest collection of royalty free 3D assets, is pleased to announce the release of the updated versions of the XfrogPlants collections from greenworks organic-software. XfrogPlants' collections allow users to recreate scenery from all areas of the world with high quality and realism, and are available at a 30% discount until April 30, 2006
"XfrogPlants Version 2.0 is the result of a two year effort by greenworks organic software. The new version features new models, improved textures, and translation into 9 different 3D formats inside every DVD," explained Stewart McSherry, Product Manager of greenworks organic-software. "Also, we have added high quality rendering of all models as billboards (or sprites), for quick and easy mid- and background work." McSherry also noted that with XfrogPlants, customers receive PDFs in 7 languages, offering localized documentation to the widest variety of clients. In addition, the developers of XfrogPlants have added five new libraries of plants (Africa, Bonsai, Prehistoric, Red Sea, and Shrubs) to version 2.0.
Scott Ballis, Xfrog client and Director of Atomic 3D, one of the leading visualization companies in Australia, recently attributed Xfrog with helping his company gain the leading edge when rendering out final compositions: "Xfrog provides our production staff unparalleled realism when landscaping our interior and exterior visualizations," Ballis also noted that Xfrog's level of detail continually stands up to his clients' scrutiny. "No other plant or tree generation software on the market comes close to what Xfrog can achieve, from seedlings through to fully-grown trees, and its ease of use seamlessly integrates into the Autodesk 3ds Max environment," Ballis said. Other current Xfrog clients include ILM, Pixar, Dreamworks SKG, SONY Imageworks, Digital Domain, and Disney Imagineering.
