A collection of 60 image maps representing a wide range of brick, wood, tile and pavement textures. Ideal for architectural illustrations, either 3d or 2d. The maps will spice up your images with their high resolution and crisp image quality. They tile seamlessly even on big areas.
Instead of taking a picture of a big area of a brick wall, these textures are built from individual bricks. Some maps took over a hundred sampled bricks to build. Depending on the diversity of the bricks, a greater number of bricks were needed to get a good random distribution. Each brick was corrected for perspective, light and color.
This method eliminates lighting changes over the area of the brick wall, as well as dirty spots which will undoubtedly show up when tiling a single photograph a couple of times. Thus destroying the illusion of realism.
To get a crisp looking map, pixel resolution must be high. Maps in this collection go up to more than 5000 x 5000 pixels (25 Mpx), big enough for the largest billboard project and ready for the future. Maps are in high-quality JPEG format, compatible with almost all 3d, 2d vector and bitmap editing software and it's compression saving your valuable disk space. When needed, a map comes with a bump map to add to the realism.
This bump map can easily be used as a selection mask, to modify colors of bricks and mortar to suit your needs. This makes the collection a versatile library for day to day use in professional visualization.
