Penrose Floor Tiling
A Penrose Tiling Floor, made of black and white marble, for architectural Visualisation.
This Model can be used to design large Hall Floors.
If you want just a Texture instead of a complete mesh based Model, please Check the Penrose Marble Floor Texture Set, which is ID 846388.
A Penrose tiling is a non-periodic tiling generated by an aperiodic set of prototiles. It can not be created by using array modifiers.
it has many remarkable properties, most notably:
It is non-periodic, which means that it lacks any translational symmetry.
It is self-similar, so the same patterns occur at larger and larger scales.
It is a quasicrystal: its diffractogram reveals both the fivefold symmetry and the underlying long range order. [Source: Wikipedia]
The Model Contains two Texture Sets of The Marble, which are:
Marble White: 4096x4096 Color Map, Normal Map (Baked from High Resolution Displacment Mesh), and Displacement Map
Marble Black: 4096x4096 Color Map, Normal Map (Baked from High Resolution Displacment Mesh), and Displacement Map
All Textures are Seamless.
3 Objects, collected in one Group.
1. Modeled for Subdivision - Quads and tris only
2. Real-world scale (m)
3. Unique and meaningful names for objects, materials, textures
4. Model centered at origin
5. Clean UVs. Fully unwrapped. Without overlaps.
The Mesh is as follows:
