This weapon was carefully modeled to scale with a poly-count high enough for first-person shooters, but modest enough for third-person shooters as well. The model includes eleven separate groups: the receiver, the trigger, the rockets (x4), the targeting reticle, the front cover, the rear cover, the separator, and the bail handle. This design facilitates animation sequences for reloading, opening/closing, trigger movement, and reticle positioning. All textures are hand-made and UV-mapped (rather than questionable planar-mapped photographs). The highest texture resolution is 512 x 512.
This model is based on a real-life military weapon called the M202A1 (James Bond fans might recognize its similarity to the 'AT420 Sentinel' in The World is Not Enough video game).
