A series of road scenes with bright lowering sun which works great for showcasing car renders.
This is a 32-bit floating point 360 degree HDR panoramic equirectangular image of an afternoon sun lowering on a small tight enclosed cobblestone road in Gloria, Rio de Janeiro Brazil. This image can be used in any 3D package for Image Based Lighting IBL. The full range of light in this scene is contained in the HDR image and will be strong enough to illuminate your 3D scene and cast shadows. I shot this 9 level exposure wedge, with a range from 0.4 sec to 1/4000 in step size of 1 EV. That gives a range of over 14 EV’s of light in this one exterior pano. Stop down the image in Nuke and check with the eyedropper to see top sun pixel values in the high 90’s. To see a full rez version and fly around the scene close up please search Tojek_VFX on 360cities website. Exact location of the shot is Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Gloria, google map latlong, -22.924296, -43.175324
One special thing about this pano is after capturing the wedged photos, I quickly hid the tripod and shot 50 pictures of the exact spot so I could later create a full textured 3D photogrammetry model of the area. This 3D model is included with color matched texture, in formats obj, fbx, and maya ascii so you can place your object in the perfect scaled physical space as well as the lighting at that moment.
