Description
This is high detailed model of legendary German WWII fighter aircraft Focke Wulf - 190 A3 (FW-190A3). Cockpit is modeled and equipped with detailed dashboard.

There are 2 modifications of the aircraft (both are present in one file):

1) Fighter interceptor,
2) Bomber version outfitted with special ETC 501 rack under its fuselage and equipped with one bomb (in general this rack may also carry extra fuel tank or torpedo – not included).

This model is supplied with 3 different painting schemes:

1) Eastern Front, summer camouflage (1942);
2) Italian SG4 squadron, desert camouflage (1944);
3) Eastern Front, 3./JG 54, Riga-Skulte/Latvia, (June 1944) flown by German ace Oberleutnant Otto Kittel (scored 267 kills).

All painting schemes are compatible with both modifications.

Diffuse, normal, specular and reflection textures are included. All textures are of 2048x2048 resolutions and have all possible details, such as rivets, seams, signs, cockpit instruments, as well as aging and weathering effects.

Normal map texture provides original 3D model with additional detailization and smoothing to make it look like high-poly model.

All mechanicals are separated and correctly pivoted so they will be easy to rig, including flaps, ailerons, rudder, elevator, cockpit glass, propeller and landing gear. They are also connected to the sliders in max file, so you may easily put an appropriate part into the correct position. Landing gear is animated to perform gear retraction.

History

The Focke-Wulf FW 190 was a German single-seat, single-radial engine fighter aircraft designed by Kurt Tank in the late 1930s. The production of one of the most successful modification FW-190A3 began in the spring of 1942. It was used by the Luftwaffe during the Second World War in a variety of roles. Like the Messerschmitt Bf 109, the FW 190 was employed as a 'workhorse', and proved suitable for a wide variety of roles, including air superiority fighter, strike fighter, ground-attack aircraft, escort fighter, and operated with less success as a night fighter.

The highest scoring FW 190 ace Otto Kittel flew 583 combat missions and scored 267 kills, many of them Il-2's, making him the fourth highest scoring ace of all time. He started the war as an Unteroffizier and died as Staffelkapitan of 2./JG 54 on February 14, 1945.
