Description
Geometrically functional working spur gear. The center of the gear can easily be selected via the outside diameter, on the IGES and DXF file formats only. Using IGES and DXF files, the gear bore can be added and converted to STL for 3D printing. The model is a 3D solid in IGES and DXF format. It is a polygonal mesh in OBJ and STL formats. It can be 3D printed by downloading STL format. The IGES and DXF formats can be modified and exported as STL files for customized 3D printing, for all kinds of projects where gears are required.

Please remember to include a shrinkage factor when 3D printing to achieve an accurate finished dimensional size. From experience with ABS, over sizing print 101.5% yields a fairly accurate finished part size. This factor will vary with environmental conditions, material, and printer. A great way to find your particular shrinkage factor is to print a 1.000 cube. Take the finished, room temperature cooled part and measure the length, width, and height. Divide 1.000 by the measurements taken and average the 3 together. You should end up with an undersized part because plastic shrinks when it cools. Always store plastic in a safe bag with moisture absorbent to prevent moisture from ruining your prints.

Please enjoy the file and I appreciate suggestions. My goal is to make you happy and upload the right working models online for a very reasonable price.
