This is an awesome COMPLETELY AUTOMATED SPIDER.
All of the body parts are animated procedurally so all you have to do is animate it along the Z axis. This is a model of a Lycosa (Wolf Spider) common in Australia. NURBS are used so the character is light so animation is very responsive and a multitude of characters can be used in one scene. The Maya Shaders used are procedural and quite simple.
