This model is based on the first Star 1 type of Geosynchronous Earth Orbiting Satellite built by CTA. The satellite appears to be in a stationary location in the sky. Its orbital slot was located over Indonesia to provide communications and video services. This model has all Intelligent object names added.

This satellite used an Apogee Kick Motor to reach GEO in an equatorial orbit after separation from the rocket. Communications antennas were mounted on the earth facing panel of this satellite and used for communications traffic .

There a total of 16 thrusters on the satellite, 4 each on the East, West, North and Aft faces that are used for station keeping maneuvers. I have included the object in both stowed and deployed configurations

The .COB format files were initially made using trueSpace 3 and includes stowed and deployed configurations. The original files are included and also have been imported, tested and saved using trueSpace7.

The solar arrays in the deployed model are movable. The axis of the model's body and solar arrays have been set for use of the 'Look At' tool in trueSpace to simplify animation.

The only non-standard texture used if on the solar arrays and has been included.
