This model has a clean geometry based on quads and loops. It is NOT rigged but it comes with pivot setup for easily move wings and legs/parts.

The Maya 2010 formats are set with the '3' hotkey for the geometry approximation preview and render.
For Obj and Fbx versions you would need to run a polysmooth to get the same maya 2010 result.
Obj versions are directly exported from Maya with textures assigned (.mtl file)
FBX versions are directly exported from Maya with textures assigned

The Fur is made with Shave and A Haircut for Maya 2010 so you would need that software to render the fur out.
The actual rendering time is about 3 minutes for an 1200x1200 frame (rendered on a system based on intel pentium quadcore with 8 gigs ram)
4 different hair systems for a total of 45k hair prims.
The Shave and Haircut Fur is included in each MAYA 2010 format (ma/mb).
The OBJ and FBX formats don't include the Shave and Haircut Fur.
The actual model is NOT rigged and it comes in the standard pose but it's really easy to achieve the 'TEST POSE' images , made just moving the wings and legs pivots.
