This is a highly detailed model of the interior of the conning tower of the WW1 German submarine, the U-88. The modeler that built this model had no photographs or detailed drawings to work from so it's an example of best guess engineering. Contained in this cramp space are the controls for controlling the submarine, including ballast and trim tanks, hatch status indicators, torpedo tube status indicators, helm station, and two periscopes. A helmsman is included.

This model is designed to fit inside the exterior model of the U-88 which is also available.
