The textures in this scene are fairly high-rez, so they can be reduced as needed. The textures aren't packed together for minimal pages and instead are intended for rendering this scene. I didn't worry too much about texture-packing since I was just making a fun render, but the objects and textures could easily be adapted for use in an engine.
Objects are mapped with color, shininess, bumpmaps and opacity and glow mapping where applicable. There are plenty of lights to change the look of this scene (some are instanced for quick color changes).
Take a look outside the camera, as there are more models including a fireplace model which I didn't end up using in the room. The chambers can be used as is or use the various props/parts for your own scenes, and the geometry is named to make it easier to work with. The main camera is animated but feel free to make your own for any shot you might want.
The sleeping dragon whelp is rigged and animated too, as well as a little glow-bug.
My goal with this was simply to create a cozy study for a medieval wizard or alchemist, much like a modern day astronomer works at night, often in solitude, under the stars. A star map is included with glow-map as a skydome.
Some uses for this could be as is, as a source of interesting low-poly props for your own scenes, for machinima (wow, EQ, etc.) or whatever ye want! I did this for fun and I hope you enjoy it.
