Description
This type of early WWI balloon was designed in 1896 by German officers Parseval and Siegsfeld, who named it 'Drachen' (Dragon) after its shape, that's looking like dragon head. After beginning of WWI Drachen balloons were used by most Armies, mainly for reconnaissance and artillery spotting. British and French soldiers named it 'Sausage', finding it more suitable for balloon's shape. What name is beter, that's your decision ;)
