mercury thermometer. The material uses raytrace maps for both reflection and refraction. If you want to make a quick test render I would recommend turning off the reflection map. I have also turned on Global Supersampling in the scanline rendering options and set it to Hammersley. This seems to produce sharper lines through the glass material.
