This is and expanded version of the ever-popular ES3DStudios.com 'Desert_Terrain-2' set, already available in Max and .3DS format at this site. This new version includes textures for two bonus flat tiles - desert airbase and a desert town layout. New ground textures alow easy placement of buildings from other ES3DStudios sets.

Terrain consists of 8 1kmx1km tiles, all of which tile with each other. These tiles have been linked together in an example lay-out to form a 5kmx5km mesh. This mesh can be tiled off to infinity with little apparent repitition. Model also includes a hi-res 2d skydome incorporating horizon hills image. 25.7Meg of satellite data makes up the texture element of this model, giving a ground resolution of better than 1m per texture pixel. The most detailed and flexible product of it's type available on the net.
