just like the title says- this is a 2 blinn shaders layered together to create a good simulation of that metallic fleck paint famous from the 50s and 60s. There are other, possibly more realistic, shaders out there, but the render time is decent with this one. Zip file contains two Maya Binary scenes, one with a simple arrangement as shown in the thumbnail, and one with the shader ONLY. Created with Maya 8.5- i'm sure though that since these are blinn shaders (in a layered shader)using a 'granite' 3d texture, there shouldn't be too many compatibility issues.
