Dicke Berta was one of the Krupp 'Super guns' of WWI and was one of the guns referred to as 'Big Bertha'. These were used to smash allied fortifications and emplacements. This 42cm (420mm)Artillery (Artillerie) piece was built by the firm Krupp (which also built most of the super heavy artillery in WWII).
