Scenario Description: This game level for Halo CE Custom Edition is fully playable, featuring 3 bases. 2 bases for the opposing teams, and an outpost, which houses a sniper that spawns much faster than the base's snipers do. The outpost, located in the middle of the level, also holds the fuel rod cannon, a powerul weapon both bases will want, but only one can have! Which ever base controls the outpost will have a slight advantage, or will they? The outpost is attackable from many areas, including the shadowed forest located at the base of the mountain. Located in the forest is the rocket launcher, which can easily be used to kill a sniper posed on top of the outpost. As for defence, the outpost has a bottom floor window and plenty of grenades. Each main base has warthogs and ghosts. This map is also good for Slayer, and King Of The Hill. This is my 2nd Halo map I ever made, and I'm planning on making bigger and better ones, with much more detail, creativity, and replay value. All source files are included (except for the Master Chief, which is included in Halo CE, and is free) for those who want to edit and customize the map any further. Be sure to check out my newer map for Halo CE, which is called Subterrene.NOTES: This map was created with Autodesk 3ds Max 9, and uses the 'BlueStreak Halo Model Exporter' (Google Search, free MAXScript) to export the geometry to a JMS file, which is then compiled as a Binary Space Partition (collision bsp). (For those who wish to edit the files further) The MAP cache file is all that is needed in order to actually play the level though; no need for complicated installation. Simply extract the archive, and copy/paste the 'decimation.map' to your local Halo CE Custom Edition install directory, in the 'maps' folder. Then start up Halo CE Custom Edition and the map will appear in the list of available multiplayer maps to play. |
