This is an accurate model of the human ear, (My ear in fact.) and is ready for smoothing useing whatever smooth modifier you want, such as Mesh Smooth, Turbosmooth, Metanurbs, or as a Subdivision surface. It was modeled with animation and ease of mapping in mind, and is laid out with edge loops, and clean topology. The texture for the 3ds Max 8 version is a Fast SSS texture for Mental Ray (The really good renderer that ships with 3ds Max) and gives extremely good results. The texture maps for this model are 512x512 and can be scaled easily for whatever you may need. This texture behaves accurately with lights, so if you put a strong light behind the ear you will see red and faint veins through the ear. The included maps are Color, Bump, Scatter, Epidermal, Subdermal, Passthrough, and Shininess.
Additional versions of this ear will soon follow. The renders were done in Max 8.
