| Dockwise 'mothership' ship transporter. Dockwise, the Dutch heavy transport company, is a leading specialist in heavy transport shipping operating a fleet semi-submersible vessels primarily servicing clients in the marine and oil & gas industry. Military naval vessels are often 'rescued' and transported back to their home port onboard this kind of boat. The British warship HMS Nottingham was transported back to the UK from Australia on this kind of vessel. These semi-submersible open-deck heavy transport vessels offer the advantage of dual cargo capacity: they can carry heavy loads on deck and clean product in their cargo tanks. They can also submerge to load and discharge by means of the float-on/float-off method. Roll-on/roll-off, skid-on/skid-off and lift-on/lift-off procedures can also be employed. The ships can swiftly be converted from heavy-transport mode into product carriers, and vice versa. - The original scene is maya format. - The other 3D formats are conversions. - OBJ format does not retain the surface properties, although UVs are retained.
