This model was built using 3DS MAX 8.0, rendered with VRay. Approximately 200,000 polygons, over half of which were meshsmoothed from low poly mesh. Model is rigged with simple bones and helpers because the this particular model was not designed to perform complex movement. The Mark-Five gundam from Gundam Sentinel performs space combat mainly, thus the heavy armaments/protection and the ridgid geometry features. The texture files are included as .jpg format and including bump and diffuse mapping.
There are 3 main files of interests. 'animation_test' is a short animation done to showcase the capabilities of the model, the special effects require AfterBurn to render. The particle effects were preset in the file, including the engine glow, engine smoke, and gun charging smoke. Due to the complexities of the model the short animation is set to render in scanline to shorten the time to render. But, of course the settings could be changed to suit the desired purpose.
The file 'rendersetup_vray' is a preset quick rendering file for VRay, the quality is set to low to speed up the process. Lastly the file 'initial_assembly' includes only the basic model and the bones, it can be used for quick import and convert.
