Washington D.C. Restricted AirSpace Animation.
This 20+ second radar animation shows the restricted airspace
zones for the Washington D.C. area. I shows a small aircraft
entering the restricted airspace zones and is used to describe
an event such as the one that occured below.
On the morning of Wednesday, May 11th a Cessna 150 (propeller, 2 seater aircraft) flew into restricted airspace close to the White House and the Capitol. Fighter jets were dispatched, thousands were evacuated, and a security scare became real.
