About the Phoenix Missile: The F14 Tomcat was the only aircraft capable of carrying a phoenix missile. It could target up to 6 targets at the same time from up to 100 miles away, and fire 6 phoenix missiles simultaneously, destroying all 6 targets without even showing up on their radar. The Tomcat was made famous in the public eye from the popular movie Top Gun starring Tom Cruise.
