| Paradigm Gamma is an original design but with aerodynamic heritage related to WWII Focke Wolf Model Ta 283 (Ramjet Fighter). P-Alpha features highly swept low t/c surfaces resulting in 0.94 cruise mach. The aerodynamic parameter b^2/Swet is in the 0.9 region with L/D cruise of 14. Lateral stability is produced by an unusual low aspect ratio extended vertical tail (ala FW Ta283). Pitch control is achieved by engine pylon mounted elevators enhanced via a small foreplane canard. P-Alpha carries 6 passengers over a range exceeding 4,000 nmi with a two person crew. The two turbofan engines are in the 5,000 lbf class (ea). |
