| The purpose of this tutorial is to create a simple route tracing animation much like the ones seen in the Indiana Jones movies when Indy travels. This tutorial is for Beginner level image editors and modelers. This will take you through the porcess from start to finish. The tutorial will show you how to prepare your 'Map' for the animation. Show you how to set your materials up in Max and ultimately guide you to creating your own Jones Effect. This idea originated while I was making a home movie DVD to send to my folks about my travels in Europe. Start to finish time (excluding the final render) is approximately 15 minutes. (render times vary due to processor speed and your desired length of render) The sample below is 840 frames at 640x480 and it took my little 1.2Ghz only about 20 min to render. |
