The first of DTX (Dynamic Texmaps) series.
DTX_Deformation is a composer map. It blends three sub-texmaps or colors due to object's deformation. Evaluation is performed relatively some predefined non-deformed state.
Preview of sub-texmap/color blending is provided. You can change the deformation of sample and watch how map is changed.
Blending can be adjusted using 'Deformation/Mix' curve. So you can increase mix value for small deformations or decrease this for strong ones.
Object can be deformed using some simple modifier like 'Bend Modifier', it should be animated of course. Some complex deformation can be made by morpher modifier. You also can use DTX_Deformation for Reactor's soft bodies.
The separate installations for 3ds max 6, 7 and 8 are provided. Help reference and sample files included.

star_fall.avi demonstrates usage of DTX_Deformation with Reactor. It is used to change the glow intensivity when stars are deformed after they hit the roof.
bullet_hit.avi demonstrates usage of DTX_Deformation with Morpher Modifier. As morph target the deformed bullet model is used. Deformation texmap makes red-hot areas where bullet is deformed.
