FREE photoreal V8 Engine by yenvalmar Product ID: 289688
KEYWORDS: High Poly Photoreal v-8 engine truck car awesome detailed Film quality
CATEGORIES:  3D Models > Vehicle > Part > Engine
fully detailed photoreal truck engine mesh. smoothed and base meshes included.
Description
this is a generic 1950s-70s ford v8. could be at home in a nascar, pickup/SUV, hot rod, etc. all accessories are included, with full wiring, plumbing, every nut, bolt, and detail you'd find on the real engine is here and ready for a close up render.

there are no surfaces and only partial UVs (the exhaust pipes and plug wires have good procedural UVs that were created with the geometry however), but there is no real need for textures, all the detail is modelled in, so with appropriate surfacing you are good to go.

the file also includes the low polygon source geometry so that you can easily modify it to suit your own needs. all the parts are grouped in logical heirarchies in the scene and the display layers are set up to facilitate resolution switching for rendering vs realtime display. for these reasons i am only including the maya file. sorry 3ds/lw/etc kids.. but for the maya users, yay.. and if anyone wants to repost this as an .obj or whatevr, go for it!

each of the accessories is a finished model in it's own right that could be used in a close
up render, or in another application. (put the carb on your chevvy.) comes with a partially built transmission bellhousing that is unfinished at the transmission end- build it to suit whatever transmission you hook this bad boy up to.

also comes with nicely modelled wooden packing crate stand that is made of board meshes which could be used elsewhere.

feel free to use this mesh for whatever you want, however please credit me, also i would love to see whatever you use it for. trying to pass it off as your own work or using it prominently in a project without credit is very bad karma. contact info is included with the file.

have fun :)

This showed me nothing but a couple of object names. Perhaps it hoped I would edit the ASCII file or that I had some pallet of Materials or maybe it was just made by a girl to act as a muse. I'm baffled.

Thanks for the free product! I'm a noob, with Blender, Daz3d and Bryce...and on top of that I've just started creating my MMORPG with Multiverse.com, so if I hadn't retired young(36), with nothing to do all day and night but spend time on the web and on each of the programs, I'd be in way too deep! I'll post a notice on the forum here, when my MMORPG launches with Multiverse around Jan-Feb 2008. Some of you(if you visit the site to play) will then possibly see an old object of yours getting a ne

Wow. This is an incredible model that could easily be sold for a hefty price. Super organized layout, everything has smooth node attached- excellent.
