| This is an accurate reconstruction of the British 8 barrel 2 pounder PomPom gun originally designed by Vickers. This weapon was used by the Royal Navy on almost all capital ships and aircraft carriers during WWII. The model was recreated using original drawings and photos. The 3d model includes several versions of the gun. The MK. V and MK. VI (no end cone on barrel end) shows slightly modified barrel types. The model also includes a cover for the ammunition chests used during bad weather condition. The 3d model was created using LightWave 5.6. The download file includes several scene files for the different versions of the gun. There is also an image based lighting radiosity scene file for LightWave 7+ included. This model is ready for animation. All turning parts are hierarchical structured objects. |
