Description
This is a DD(X) bundle package creats to show cutaways, and now it includes every thing you see in the thumbnails. This DD(X) model is fully textured, contains an accurate hull form, AGS (155mm main gun), VLS (vertical lunching system), propeller, etc. Besides those, this model also comes with a detailed special force combat boat which is equipped with 3 XM 307 machine guns and water jet engines. Every joints in the model is movable and are optimized fot animation.

The Navy plans to develop DD(X) over four years, procuring the first one in 2005 to enter service in 2011. The initial DD(X) was characterized as being a technology demonstrator for future surface combatants, rather than a design that would quickly enter serial production.

Answer to willkraft's question:
C4d, 3ds, and obj can be opened in Cinema4D, 3dsMax, and most other 3d programs (but they are not designed to work with CATIA/CADDS/etc. directly). In order to obtain IGES formatted model, please use 3dsMax/Cinema4D/Lightwave to export model as dxf format. Then use IGES Translator from AutoCAD Mechanical (since R6)/Mechanical Desktop to convert it into IGES format.
