The Place Jemaa el Fna, so named because a Sultan, several centuries ago, would have plotters against him executed and their heads displayed on poles around the square, is a main meeting place of the city. In the mornings, it is filled with trades people and in the evening it becomes a place of entertainment. You will find acrobats, snake charmers, dancers, musicians and storytellers amoung the crowds of towns people. A chase scene took place here in the Jimmy Stewart film, 'The Man Who Knew Too Much'.
