The Road Texture generator .psd file from ambientLight will enable you to create multilple combinations of road surface, lines, drains etc. These lines are based on the standard UK road system but can be easily adapted to any other system by recolouring, resizing and rotating as necessary. All elements are separate and can be moved as required. This way you can make tiles for a single road or multiple carriageway by leaving out kerbs and adding additional lines. The sample images show a few of the variations possible.

The Road surfaces themselves are fully tileable in any direction, and the lines will tile in the direction they travel. This way you can make a generic texture to repeat across a surface, and make individual tiles with line stops, covers etc that you may not want in the fully repeating texture.

The file is divide into separate layer sets for items that go together, and all items have their own dirt layers. The road surfaces are clean, and can be dirtied using the 'Dirt and Oil' layer set. Each having their own transparency settings.

Layer Sets and Content List:

01 Road Surfaces - 3x separate surfaces, 2 asphalt and 1 concrete

02 Yellow lines left end - single and double yellow lines with a stop end

03 Yellow Lines Right end - single and double yellow lines with a stop end

04 Yellow lines right - single and double full length yellow lines

05 Yellow lines left - single and double full length yellow lines

06 White lines Centre - double centre, double centre overtaking, single centre line, hazard centre line, lane line

07 White lines left - single outer white line

08 White lines right - single outer right line

09 Drains and Covers - 1 storm water drain, 1 square inspection cover, 1 rectangle inspection cover, 1 round inspection cover

10 Dirt and Oil - Gutter dirt, oil and grime layer, road streaks x 2, extra dirt layer.

11 Bus Lane - Yellow and white bus lane lines, plus 'BUS LANE' text layer

12 Stop - Stop road line plus 'STOP' text layer

13 Give Way - giveway lines and triangle icon

14 Text - spare set for additional text as required

15 Kerbstones - Left and right layers

16 Loading lines - single and double loading lines that can be moved as required.
