Animated model of Jupiter and its moons using ultra-high resolution maps and accurate data from NASA.
Description
This model of Jupiter and its four large moons (Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto) features animated cloud maps on Jupiter, animated orbits for the moons, and cylindrical maps up to 1800 x 3600 pixels for super close-ups (See the Great Red Spot close-up above.) It also includes Jupiter`s faint ring system, a highly detailed artificial starfield, accurate orbital and rotation periods, and exact scale information. (The moons have been enlarged by 10x to make them visible.) This is the most accurate and high-quality model available. There are two Max files included in the zip file-- one with the moons arranged close together, and the other with the moons at the proper orbital distances from Jupiter.
