This is a shot of a lava flow from Mount Kilauea on the big island of Hawaii. You can see how the lava cuts a swath through the Hawaiian countryside. If you look close you can see a lava 'chimney' which is a hole in the hard top lava layer that you can look into and see red-hot molten lava flowing underneath. The shot was taken during a helicopter tour.
