Detailed artist's 3D rendition of a Segway model.
The model has many subtle and difficult to perfect details -such as curves, sweeps, notches, bumps, valves, controls, etc.
It comes in two versions:
High detail (101523 verts & 105,464 faces)
Medium detail. (16304 verts & 22688 faces)
The medium detail version looks much the same as the higher detail version, without the small notches and bumps. The level of smoothing is reduced but unless you are close up, it makes little difference which one you use.The files are in 3DS format (originally modeled in 3DS Max). The model is easy to animate. You can animate the hubcaps and wheels independently of the rest of the model. The handlebar can also be raised or lowered. Everything is named and grouped.
A lower detail version and a military version of this model are sold separately (click on my name to browser). Everything is named (and grouped in the Max version). Don't forget to put a helmet on any model you use or hang it off the handlebar -- to complete the scene. A detailed helmet model is listed on the right of this page.
