This is a detailed model of a large low pressure steam turbine rotor, as found in power generating stations. Steam enters at the innermost blades and pushes outward on progressively larger blades as it expands and loses heat.
The model can be easily adapted to other turbine applications such as steam-powered vessels or jet engines.
Description
The blades are subdivision surfaces. The rest of the structure is made of polygons. The parts are included in the model to make modifications easier.
