London Landmarks is an extensive collection of models of London’s most famous buildings and monuments. They reflect the cross section of London’s eclectic architecture, from its classical Royal heritage and the grandeur of the Victorian era, to its contemporary high tech style, that all make up its famous skyline.
The 33 3D Studio MAX 4 format models include key facades and features of, 1) 10 Downing St, 2) Admiralty Arch, 3) Albert Memorial, 4) British Museum, 5) Buckingham Palace, 6) City Hall, 7) County Hall, 8) Earls Court, 9) Harrods, 10) Harvey Nichols, 11) houses of Parliament, 12) Imperial War Museum, 13) Kensington Palace, 14) Lloyds, 15) Madame Tussauds, 16) Marble Arch, 17) MI6, 18) Millennium Wheel, 19) National Gallery, 20) Natural History Museum, 21) Nelsons Column, 22) Royal Academy Arts, 23) Royal Albert Hall, 24) Royal Festival Hall, 25) St Paul’s Cathedral, 26) Tate Britain, 27) Tate Modern, 28) Tower Bridge, 29) Tower of London, 30) Victoria & Albert Museum, 31) Wellington’s Monument, 32) Westminster Abbey, 33) Westminster Cathedral, and are ideal for past, present and future cityscapes (however are not suitable for VVMs).
The models are also available separately from Turbosquid, including a brief historical description of each building. This package is being offered at 30% the price of the combined individual list prices. All of the models are in editable mesh format, with no materials applied. Some of the larger models have grouped, instanced units to keep file sizes low.
The lighting system featured in the preview windows is not included, but is available for free from Turbosquid. The system uses a special configuration of shadow mapped lights to simulate the effects of global illumination, without complicated photon tracing and at a fraction of the render time.
