| This is model of the famous main façade of the Victoria and Albert Museum, commonly known as the V&A. It holds the largest collection of decorative arts, since Queen Victoria laid the first foundation stone in 1899. The V&A was part of a massive master-planning vision headed by Prince Albert consisting of exhibition, arts, academic and scientific showcase in Kensington. Other buildings in this heroic development include the Natural History Museum, the Royal Albert Hall, and eventually the Albert Memorial (all models are available from the London Landmarks Collection, a set of 33 of London’s most famous buildings and monuments, available as a set, or separately from Turbo Squid.) |
