Render faster in scanline rendering or vray rendering
Posted 19-Jul-2008 3:03 AM

Hi all,

I would like to render faster on my work. Probability will buy a new PC. Spec note below:
Core 2 Quad 2.66 (will be overclock to 3.2)
Asus P5Q Deluxe P45 mainboard
Corsair Twin2x 4096-6400C4DHX ram
2X 500GB Western Digital 16M RAID edition hardisk
Saphire HD4870 graphic card

Question is will the spec mention can move the rendering time faster than expected? I mean for example 2 hour rendering in Vray can be shorten into one hour at least?

Tks for ur kindly help.

depends on how big your scene is and how much objects you have in max. If you have a small scene max will take a short time to render but if you have a big scene then max will take longer unless you have a real powerful computer.....

I think Vray is the best but i don't use it I always use metal ray i just have a normal computer and it's fine for me for what i do.

if you have the money then i'll say  Dual Intel Xeon 45nm Quad-Core Workstation link
