Hi, vikkram. It's me again. The guy who have never used VRay and yet still giving his advice. That's just me.

Anyways, I believe my advice/comments to you is bad overall. I compared your final render with the previous ones and I feel that even your first render, the blurry 4 minute render time, looks more realistic than the one you tried tweaking based on my input.

Overall, the final render, looks good if you ignore the trees but your scene comes with trees and their 'unrealness' just ruins the picture. I really should stop giving advice when I have absolutely no idea what you're facing. I believe you tried bouncing less light. I don't know how you do it (or how VRay works!) but it seems that you also took away some 'life' from overall light. I don't know how to describe this but clearly my input is taking you to the wrong way.

My bad, really. Ignore me and follow elypric and ecidream. They're the masters!

lol well thanks sangchinok though I'm far from being a master here ... particularly with VRay! I just wanted to have a look a thte scene and possibly try to tweak it to look a little more like a full scale picture than a closeup of a model. I'm a Brazil guy anyways, I only have the VRay Free version installed here. I was hoping that it was a MAX <7 file so I could have a better look.

Hey vikkram do you have the FBX output plugin? I think if you use that, than everyone would be able to bring your scene into their version of MAX and we could all have a look at it.

The plugins are hereat Autodesk.

need lot of xperience sangchinok. i really confused thats why i provided the linke here to download the file. Final image is very large than the preview here so it appears of low quality here r some how it appears as low quality than what real rendering i have. anyway here is the link to the file of max version 7: http://rapidshare.com/files/129687031/vvip_rooms_v7.zip.html. everyone is allowed to download and try in your ways. atleast i can understand how many ways it can be done. plz post them here.

Hey vikkram here's a preliminary render with a few tweaks to it.

Notes:

1) Turned off the omni light.
2) select Direct light and change shadows to black and 1.00
3) increased plane Render Multiplier to 100x scale
4) moved direct light way back to ~2000 ft from scene
5) chose Area Shadows for Direct01
6) Change to VRay renderer
7) Select Adaptive Subdivision for filter
8) Select Mitchell-Netravali as AA algorithm, default .333's
9) enable Indirect Illumination
10) increased secondary bounces to subdivisions:3 and depth:5
10) selected Very Low irradiance map preset
11) Override MAX preset skylight and choose a bright pale orange @ 1.00 multiplier

Now I understand this may not be what you want to do with it, I just though I'd put it out here. A few observations I had were that the roof of the lower level is quite a dark brown, so it's not bouncing much light onto the upper ceiling. I've also blown out the ground plane so you're not distracted by your background bitmap :)

The materials are generally pretty much just defaults with color added to them, which can obviously affect the scene too :)

thank you elyptic. thanku very much. yes not expecting this result but definetly got some ideas. I have seen a video tutorial and followed the settings shown in it still i didn't get the same result. All the settings are checked and tweaked a little bit as per my knowledge but i didn't get that result.

anyway no others are trying this with my file?

can any one explain what is a "clamp". i find this term in "clamp output" in vray.

"And what is gamma? and how do i know my system is gamma corrected or not? if not how do i do?" this i am studying. ust going deeper into the terms.
