Mirroring a timeline in Graph Editor
Posted 18-Jun-2008 11:19 PM

Hi

Would someone be able to tell me if it's possible, and how, to create a mirror of a curve in Graph Editor?

I have created a transparent model of a lock and have the key sliding out of the keyway pushing the pins up and down to follow the contours of the key.  I would like to simply reverse this to show the key going back into the lock without having to manually run through keyframing every pin, which, while easy, is time consuming.  I can't help feeling that there must be a more efficient way of doing this.

Thanks.

In Graph Editor select the keys you want to be reversed. Press 'Shift + I'. Keys reversed.

OR

Look under 'Keys' tab above the graph, and select 'Invert selected keys'. Shift+I is the shortcut for it.

Thanks for that.  I had a fiddle around with it but in doing so stumbled across oscillate which seems to do what I want.  At least for this particular project.
