Another option is to force them to put a deadline one it... such as:

Job offer expires mm/dd/yy and defaults to 30 days from the post, to a maximum of perhaps 60 days...

Then they can get an email asking if they need to refresh the post and they can do that by bumping the thread...

Also, with the closing of a thread, members subscribed to it should automatically get a notification to that effect...
