image mapping

I am trying to map an image onto my object (using lightwave) but whenever i try, it doesnt seem to work.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

please help!

Can you detail you problem please? i cannot understand where is the problem, if you dont know how to map the model, if you dont know the uv map process, if you dont know surface editor or if your lightwave just do not work well.
