You've got a few things going on in the scene that are probably casing you trouble. First the splotchy parts are because of your light calculation.
For interior scenes, your primary GI engine should be set to irradiance map, the secondary GI engine should be set to Light cache.
the color you're getting on the wall is color bleeding. could be happening for a number of reasons, my first guess would be that exposure control is on. turn it off, vray does not need expousre control of any kind. Using GI (indirect illumination) is the same thing only better, as exposure control.
