Recruiting Sourcer/Researcher

Ascendi Entertainment (www.AscendiEntertainment.com) is a technical staffing agency, located in downtown San Diego, which provides recruiting services for the Video Game and film industries.  We connect the talented individuals that create games and films with the companies that develop them.

We are looking for a Technical Sourcer to support our on-going talent needs by managing all aspects of candidate generation.

What does a Recruiting Sourcer Do?
A Recruiting Sourcer's job is to find suitable candidates for our Recruiting staff.  In this instance, the talent you are seeking are Developers who work on the games and films you love to play & watch.  These Developers would include Animators, Effects Artists, Producers, Designers, Programmers and more.

You are expected to identify these potential candidates through various web research methods which would include, but not limited to, going through different job sites, utilizing search engines, identifying and sourcing internet user groups, researching potential candidates on social networking sites, and more.  Once found, you will then record your sourcing activities into our applicant tracking system.

What do you need to be qualified for this position?
This position needs a very smart and internet savvy person.  We are looking for a 'go-getter' - someone who is eager for a challenge and willing to work hard.  There is no room for slouchers in this position.  Our environment is very high-paced and demanding.  You support multiple Recruiters, and their success depends on how well you do your job.  So, there will definitely be some pressure on you to perform.


Candidate must possess:
·         Must be very internet savvy, i.e. - You should be knowledgeable about various social networking sites (myspace, facebook, linkedin, etc.), knowledgeable about various search engine searching methods, user groups, etc.
·         Proficiency in MS Office and strong overall computer skills is required; Ability to learn additional computer programs as needed
·         The ability to research and compile information in a coherent manner
·         Strong written, verbal & grammatical skills
·         Flexibility to work with a rigorous and continuously changing workflow
·         Ability to communicate thoughts clearly
·         Work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
·         Attention to detail
·         Must be able to work in a start-up atmosphere.
·         Must be in college or have a degree

Strong pluses would include (not required, but a 'nice to have'):
·         Related work experience in a search firm or recruiting/sourcing
·         Experience developing complex Internet search strings to generate contacts
·         Experience in the game or film industry

Compensation:
Compensation is $10/hr + Commission.
Since you will be supporting a recruiting team, there is an opportunity to earn commission based on your support work.
