Out of those two I like the second one myself.  I prefer extruded text to boolean text.  As for the circles in the logo, I would suggest a higher poly count to the edges, the sides of them look blocky.  Maybe it is the JPG artifacting but I think I see it correctly.

I am also a fan of contrast so even though I think the red sticks out more than the blue, I would go with white on black, and if the logo goes to a letter head, I would use the blue on white.  But that is just me.  It just "POPS" to my eye better that way and I think it gets noticed more.

I would also reconsider the box around the logo & text.  If there is a box, I would put it around the circles not the text.  Have the text bigger along the bottom of the box.  The same width as the box above it.

I might reconsider the font as well.  I am not sure what Indigo is selling, but it looks to me like it is selling doll houses by the chosen font.  Just the first thing that popped into my head.  I suggest more a harder san-serif font so it is a little more edgey but I have only designed logos for technical companies before so I may be wrong.

Just my opinions

Hi Mutantcel.

They are done with the rectangles and the Ellipse i did not boolean it i just put the text at the bottom on it and used muilt attach and max did that. I like the second one too. once I extuded the text does not look right I tired that and i did not liked how it looked the nasted boect looked messed up, Indigo Prophecy is a video game also known as Fahrenheit. i am writing the second part of the game. anyway i only tried one font as a demo to see how it looked.

Thanks

Anthony

I am a teacher of game design in a city in NY and I am grading some models now.  I guess I saw your post and kept on grading!  It was nice to see something other than cars.  We are making a twisted metal-type game.

I would be interested in seeing some stuff on your game.  Do you have a game design document?  Did you finish Prophacy 1?  If so do you have some screen shots?

Here is a shot from our game.  I am working on object placement (hence the boulder in the road!)  It is far from being finished it is a work in progress class game, so I expect to be working on it for a few years.

BTW, the ecto 1 is just a test model I made.  The real vehicles are being graded now.

You might want to render them smaller... if you post a large image here it shrinks it but doesn't resample the image well and you end up with jaggies... so your original images probably look better than what we're seeing here...

Also, maybe try a spotlight with shadows and falloff instead... just to see how it looks...

Another idea might be to have the logo dark or black and a volumetric light passing through it, though you'll need to tweak it a good deal to look good and still be readable...

Hmm, and one thing that may or may not be an issue, lol... I think indigo is blue, so you may want to use some kind of blue instead of red... maybe find the rgb value somewhere... or maybe make it 'Scarlet Prophecy 2'... if there was a 1...

Just a thought =D

what 3d engine will you use?  Are you getting the assets from indigo 1?  It looks like a cool game.  I can only find cinemac scenes on YouTube nothing yet wuth interactive gameplay, but the movies seem to be done with the realtime characters.  Good idea!

Assets? none because my game is not complete all i know is how to make floor plans in max I use poser to make the characters then import them into max I don't have the money on a 3ds engine yet. Or do you mean what render am i using in max? i am using metal ray....

There are a lot on you tube look under Fahrenheit video game. As soon as i get the money i am going to buy a Environment Creation for Production by Tim Jones.

IT's a video game not a movie sir here is the link from amazon it's not a movie unless your looking at Fahrenheit 9/11 that's was a movie by that dimwit Michael Moore,

I use 3D Game Studio

it is what I teach at school.  It is quite easy.  You can export from Max into the engine tools.
