Error Display Message
Posted 19-Apr-2008 11:31 PM

Hello. I won't even bother posting the error message because too many people know it too well. Before all of the one moderator begins snapping my neck off and telling me "This is on another thread, go look for it yourself.", please tell me an alternate way how to fix my solution. I looked at your suggestions, Broswer ice, but none of them workd at all. Might you please have some good news to tell us? Or in any helpful player holds the key, please do tell. And moderator, please try to spread out your answers and tell enough people how to fix it, instead of constantly telling people to go to one single link that doesn't work hardly. Thanks.

RE: Error Display Message [FIXED]

Hey, this is me from a day in the future. I managed to fix my problem by using the uninstall feature. When you try to delete your gmax folder or remove the program, it won't entirely delete it. What I did was drag it into the bin and then deleted it. I downloaded from the other Gmax download button, not the green one. Afterwards, I selected the gl graphics or something like that, the one under heidi or w/e. Now it works fine. Hope this helps you, guys. =D

We don't snap necks here. But the links do work. I even updated the thread with the proper link to get a spanking new Registration Code without having to send or receive any mail !

The reason why we ask people to do a forum search before asking any question is not to prevent us from answering the same things every single times, but to save you guys time. How ?  Simple, the time you take to post a question and get an answer might be anywhere between 1 or 30 days !  Are you willing to wait that long or would rather get the answer within 5 min ????

We are not paied for answering threads here.
We are not affiliated with Autodesk nor with Turbosquid.
We are just doing this on a voluntary basis.
Therefore, we are not obligated to even visit the forum every day. We could just come here once a month. Then what would you do to fix your problems ?  Post and wait or just do a forum search ?  The answer is pretty obvious but most members don't seam to understand this and start pointing fingers at us telling us "Why don't  you give the streight answer right away when we ask ?".  How long do you think it takes us to go through all messages and constantly repeat the same answers. If we had to do a full answer all the time, it would take us even longer. I have other things to do then to keep answering the same thing all over to people that never bother saving themselves time. Oh and I work 12 hours per day every time so how much time do you think that leaves me for answering threads every day ?

If you were a forum moderator just for one year, you would get the big picture of what it is to manage a support forum. I have been doing support as day to day job for over 15 years.
