At the moment i am unsure as to which 3d program i want to buy, i have a few months off now for summer from uni, and want to start learning how to do 3d. I have been shown Cinema 4d and some off the things that can be done in that and it seems great and fairly simple layout i like as well, also the modules that you can add on look pretty cool, on the other hand i have also heard a lot about 3dmax which i did try a while back but wasnt to fond off! But if it was going to be significantly better then im sure i could get used to it! Or are there anyother sugestions? Thanks for anyhelp in advance!

AC3D from inivis I have found to be very easy to learn, puts out a good product and exports into various formats. http://www.inivis.com .

I have been very happy with Cinema 4D R10 thus far. It's been very easy to learn and is quite user friendly. I have used 3D max before, it's been several years though since I've really used it much, so I actually transitioned quite nicely to C4D. I would highly recommend it, especially for the price.

You can also purchase add-ons and external renderers etc to help out if there are any areas you would like to improve on. I hope that helps!
