There are several online (free) tutorials...but when I click on HELP inside maya I get a turtorial that is in my program files, and the path looks something like this...

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2008\docs\Maya2008\en_US\wwhelp\wwhimpl\common\html\wwhelp.htm
