3D animator for science-fiction film.

NEW
Computer Animator wanted to collaborate on an underwater future-city animation for a Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada) graduation film. Students of animation are also welcome.

The animation is a point of view from a ship that is leaving an underwater city that grows distant/diminishes as the ship ascends to the surface. The ship itself does not have to be seen, nor does it need to be shown surfacing. The city has to have somewhat of a golden hue to it so that it matches the interior shots, and the basic design concept is very organic and reflects the underwater environment of the inhabitants.

The film, entitled Xylophobia, is a science-fiction drama set on Earth in
the near(ish) future. It was filmed on super16 and then transferred to HD.
We are in the last stages of editing and the film is expected to be about 17 minutes long. The animated portion should be about 20sec long, but also effectively add and express valuable detail to the film.

The animation is needed for the final edit, transfer and screening by the end of April. The short time is unfortunate, but all attempts will be made at an effective working relationship, including complete details about the film.

Users of FlowLine, Maya, 3D Studio Max, XSI or Cinema 4D would probably be most suited to the project.

If interested please send some information about yourself and your work to
jstefuli@sfu.ca.
