Looking for STL models, focus on sport bike parts
Posted 26-Mar-2008 5:31 PM

Hello,

I will pay for STL models of complex geometry parts, like fairings of sport bikes like Yamaha R1.

If you can design STL files to bikes and cars parts, I´d like to know your work!

Best regards,

Flavio Bressan da Luz

Hi Flavio ;)

If you are looking for certain model in STL format, you can easy ask support convert it. Also, if you work in 3D Max, it can export to STL format too. Good luck!

Hi Alex!

Good hint on asking TS support!

But there is a lack of models, in my focus area, that can generate good stl files. Most of 3D models are surfaces with textures, not real "solids" that can be converted rightly to stl format. I already have contacted some modellers with models who interest me, but stuck with this issue of re-working the model to a good solid object to be 3D printed or milled.

Regards,

Flavio

Hello, My name is Chris, I am a MEchanical Engineering student who
is doing modeling on the side to help pay my way through school. I am
comfortable modeling just about anything you want, especially STL and
IGES compatable iles, as these are what i use for my own purposes. I
model specialty parts for cars and machine them in my basement on my
CNC mill, so if you are worried about inexperience with these kinds of
files, that should be of no concern. Please feel free to browse the few
models I have on TurboSquid, but be awawre that these are not
necessarily good  representative samples of the kind of work I am
capable of.

Most of my modeling is done through these forums, on a
customer-specific basis, and are not sold to the general public, for
privacy and singularity purposes. Please contact me via email if you
wish to talk more specifics, and i would also be interested in what
exactly you are looking for!

Thanks a lot,
      Chris.
